Leah is a Web Design classmate who evaluated my page as an HTML developer. I asked Leah if she would look specifically at my code and provide me with feedback. Leah used a Lenvo ThinkPad and google chrome to complete the evaluation. Leah gave me a few suggestions. She started by discussing a stylesheet. Leah also mentioned that I needed more pictures and a table. Leah also suggested making the links open up in a new page and told me to use the "target" tag.
Courtney is a coworker of mine. I asked her to be a "user tester" and take a look at the site from a teacher perspective. Courtney teaches first grade and is very aware of what the families at my school would want/need in a classroom website. Courtney used a MacBook Air, Google Chrome and DSL to complete the evaluation.
Elizabeth is a former parent in my class. Her daughter was in my kindergarten class 2 years ago. I asked her to evaluate my website from a parent perspective. I thought she would have great insight as to the information that was on my website. Elizabeth used Dell Running Windows 10 and Mozilla Firefox.
Katelynn is another teacher friend who works at a different school. I asked her to evaluate my website from both the parent perspective and the teacher perspective. I wanted to get feedback from someone who doesn't work at my school. I wanted to be sure that she could find the information she was looking for in my website. Katelynn used a PC and chrome to complete her survey.

All users liked the color scheme. One thought the "white" border was too harsh of a contrast from the rest of the page. All users agreed that the website was easy to navigate. One user thought the pictures needed a description/caption. Users thought the content was good for parents in the classroom. One user wanted the links to open in a page. The news/home page will be somewhat different when there is more information throughout the school year. All users agreed that the crediblity was given.
Based on my feedback, I am going to make sure that all the links open in a new page. I think this was the biggest suggestions on the entire site. I know that the news page is like the "home" page, but that will change as we begin the school year. I will also work on the white border.
Leah suggested using the target code to open the links in a new page. This was helpful and was the same as what my "users" wanted as well. She also reminded me that I needed another picture and that I hadn't put in a table yet. I will add a table for the "specials" schedule.
I enjoyed having others look at my webpage. The user testers that were teachers seemed to think that the information and design were relevant. The web design colleagues looked a little closer at the coding and "design" as well. The two reviews on the discussion board gave some of the same information (need a table and pictures). This was my first attempt at building a website. I feel like I have gained a lot of knowledge.
